Steve Davies, CEO of Javelin Wealth Management on “The Brand Called You” podcast

“What’s it all for?” is the most important question to ask during your wealth management journey. This will help you to align your wealth strategy with your life goals, and to create a holistic portfolio that will help you get there.

Our CEO and Founder, Stephen Davies joins Ashutosh Garg, podcast host of “The Brand Called You” to share leadership lessons, wisdom, and knowledge related to wealth management.

Here are some key tips he had for those who might be just beginning their wealth management journey:

1. The earlier you start the better: the longer you have, the less the impact of short term volatility.
2. Don’t get distracted by noise: volatility is a normal thing in investing, don’t let it distract you from your long term goal.
3. Keep some cash in reserve and avoid excessive leverage, unless you can cope with the higher risk. Better to diversify that risk and keep comfortable.
