Equities vs. Bonds: Who Will Come Out on Top?
Last Friday on Bloomberg News Markets Asia, Javelin’s Partner, Polka Mishra, joins Avril Hong, Paul Allen, and Bloomberg MLIV Executive Editor Mark Cudmore in a spirited discussion on the equities market and the outlook for the coming week.
Polka and Mark both expressed a shared optimism, highlighting the potential for further upside in equities with comparatively lower risk. Paul, however, raised concerns about the Magnificent 7, suggesting they could face challenges moving forward.
“It’s never enough,” Polka remarks on investors’ lofty expectations for tech stocks. While AI continues to be a strong theme, she advises caution, noting that the industry is still in the infrastructure phase, with widespread applications likely to take longer to materialize.
