Following news around Kevin Warsh’s nomination as Fed Chair, markets saw a sharp move out of gold alongside a strengthening US dollar. While the selloff appeared sudden, Polka described it as a healthy correction after an extended and crowded rally.
As Polka highlighted,
🟡 Gold continues to be the primary safe-haven asset, supported by central bank buying and ongoing macro and geopolitical uncertainty.
⚪ Silver reflects a different dynamic, with growing industrial demand it is increasingly becoming part of investors’ portfolios despite higher volatility.
🟤 Other precious metals remain supported due to demand-supply dynamics, especially linked to the AI value chain.
