As at August 2009, the company has five employees, Stephen Davies (CEO and senior partner), Tom Inglis (Director and Head of Research), Paul Muller (Executive director), Seah Kim Ping (Manager - Client administration & Licensed Advisor) and Carina Lee (Administrator). The company continues to plan increases in its staff strength on an ongoing basis as and when we find good people.

We make a point of working closely with many of the largest and most established investment companies world wide to ensure that our clients are provided with the best service to meet their needs and requirements and the best products that are available.

Who is Javelin Wealth Management licensed by?
Javelin Wealth Management is a fully licensed Financial Adviser (FA), and is regulated by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS). Javelin Wealth Management Pte Ltd’s FA licence number is FA100011-4. All our individual advisers possess a Financial Adviser Representative’s (FAR) licence from the MAS.

How long have you been practicing in this area?
Javelin Wealth Management Pte. Ltd. was set up specifically because, through long personal experience, the founding shareholder, Stephen Davies, felt strongly that the existing financial planning industry was failing investors badly in terms of product advice, service and disclosure.

Stephen Davies has been working as a stockbroker, specialising in Asian equities, since 1985 and following his participation in a successful management buyout, has been an active investor in his own right for a long period.

Tom Inglis, as a UK qualified accountant and former head of investment research at various international broking firms has been involved in the industry since 1987.

Paul Muller, an economics graduate, has over 20 years experience as a stockbroker, working on equity sales desks in London, Hong Kong and Japan.

Javelin Wealth Management Pte. Ltd. was incorporated in Singapore in mid 2003 and licensed by the MAS on March 12th 2004.

What professional credentials does my adviser have?
Stephen Davies is a fully Certified Financial Planner (CFPCM). This designation is administered by the Financial Planning Association of Singapore. In addition, Stephen Davies holds Masters degrees from London Business School and the University of Edinburgh in the UK. Tom Inglis is qualified as an accountant in the UK in 1982. Ms. Seah Kim Ping is certified as an Associate Financial Planner (AFPTM).

The company has been set up to follow "better than best" industry practice. We follow a rigorous financial planning and assessment process prior to making any product or investment recommendations. This process relies on you to give full disclosure of your complete financial circumstances in order to ensure that the advice we then give is most appropriate for you.

How do you operate? What will you expect me to provide you with and what will you provide in return? How often are we likely to interact?
We follow a rigorous financial planning and assessment process prior to making any product or investment recommendations. This process relies on you to give full disclosure of your complete financial circumstance in order to ensure that the advice we then give is most appropriate for your specific circumstances. We help you provide us with that information by giving you a detailed fact find and risk analysis questionnaire for completion (by you) and analysis (by us).

We then combine this information into an analytical report that details our assessment of your position together with any recommended products we believe you should consider as part of that analysis. We will interact regularly during that process.

Once you have chosen to invest through us, we provide you with a signed "Terms of Engagement" letter that details the terms of our business relationship and the scope of the Javelin Wealth Management service. This ensures that you will always know what to expect from us. We will also provide you with monthly fact sheets from the underlying fund managers of your investments, and a consolidated statement.

We will also arrange an annual face to face investment and performance review with your Javelin adviser. Obviously, we are happy to meet more regularly should you wish to discuss specific issues. "tcontent"> As such, it is best to consult your nutritionist or physician when in doubt.

How much will I be charged and how will the billing process work?
Javelin Wealth Management Pte. Ltd. is committed to a policy of full disclosure of ALL fees and/or commissions paid to us by our clients so that you know EXACTLY what we receive on ANY product we recommend. In addition, we offer you the choice of how you wish to pay us: anything from an upfront commission, all the way through to an annual fee. Billing is either made by prior arrangement with the product provider (you arrange for them to pay us direct from your account with them, based on the terms of our formal, signed, fee agreement with you), or we can invoice you directly.
